The God of The Woods by Liz Moore: My favourite genre is mystery so I wasn't surprised that I loved this book. I can say that I truly did not expect that plot twist.
The Awakening by L.J Smith: The first book of The Vampire Diaries series. If you thought Elena was insufferable in the show, you are not prepared for this book. She is a different level of CRAZY. Like actually crazy, and incredibly down bad to a point where she is manipulating her friends just so she can get with Stefan. I found all the characters to be off-putting and mean and there is this weird hierarchy with Elena being described as ‘queen of the school’ in one way or another by multiple characters throughout the book. In the show, it was known that Elena was popular but I don't remember it being so Sharpay Evans in High School Musical. Overall, I still feel the need to read the rest of the books just to see how different they are to the series, so stay tuned.
Medium Raw by Anthony Bourdain: Currently reading this but so far it's great. Anthony Bourdain is the original shit talker and his writing style is amazing, it's like I can hear his voice as I’m reading.
